Curious about REPLO®?
Curious about REPLO®? Find answers to common questions about how our science-backed organic additive technology works.
REPLO® is a biodegradation additive that is blended into plastics and synthetic textiles during manufacture. It accelerates the natural microbial breakdown of the material at end of life, without affecting performance during use.
REPLO® works with a broad range of petroleum-based plastics, including LDPE, HDPE, PP, PET and synthetic textiles such as polyester, nylon, spandex, acrylic, and their blends when added at the resin or polymer stage.
No. REPLO® is designed to be inert during the useful life of the product. Independent testing shows no significant change to tensile strength, elongation, or other key performance metrics.
No. REPLO® does not contain live microbes, heavy metals, or any substances restricted under REACH or RoHS regulations.
When REPLO®-enhanced materials biodegrade in a microbially active environment, the primary by-products are CO₂, water, and biomass — the same outputs as natural organic matter decomposition.
